With the QR code manager, you create dynamic QR codes that point to any URL or directly to one of your lead forms. The printed code remains valid permanently; you can change the target at any time. Every scan is counted.
Detailed guide
A QR code in Leadnodes always contains a fixed short URL and never the target itself. When scanned, Leadnodes redirects to the currently stored target. This lets you print flyers, posters or business cards and adjust the target later without creating new codes.
Requirement: You need administrator permissions in your system. For the target type “Lead form”, an active lead form must exist.
-
Navigate to Leads > QR codes.
-
Click New QR code.
-
Enter a name, for example “Autumn trade fair” or “Flyer South region”.
-
Select the target type:
- Manual URL: Enter the desired target URL, such as your website or a landing page.
- Lead form: Select a lead form and the user to whom the leads received via this QR code should be assigned.
-
Leave the code set to Active and click Save QR code.
-
Open the saved QR code and download the image as SVG (for print) or PNG (for digital use). Copy URL additionally gives you the short URL as a link.
The overview shows the target, status, number of scans and time of the last scan for each QR code. Use the tabs to filter by active and inactive codes.
Further frequently asked questions
Can I change the target of a QR code that has already been printed?
Yes. Open the QR code via Edit, adjust the target URL, lead form or user and save. Codes that have already been printed automatically redirect to the new target on the next scan.
What happens if I deactivate a QR code?
The code is retained, but scans are no longer redirected. People who scan the code see a “Not found” page. As soon as you reactivate the code, it works again immediately. Deactivating is suitable for time-limited campaigns.
Why does the overview show “Target not available”?
The stored lead form has been deactivated or deleted, or the assigned user no longer exists. In this case, scans lead to an error page. Edit the QR code and select an active form or a valid user.
To whom are leads from a QR code form assigned?
To the user you selected for the target type “Lead form”. This lets you create separate QR codes with the same form per sales representative or per location, for example, and trace where the leads came from.
Should I use the SVG or the PNG?
For print material, the SVG: it can be scaled to any size without loss of quality. For websites, emails or presentations, the PNG.
Can I delete a QR code?
Yes, via Delete in the overview. Please note: printed copies of this code will no longer work afterwards, and the action cannot be undone. If you only want to switch the code off temporarily, deactivate it instead.
