How do I manage email senders and domains?

Manage your email sender domains and verify email addresses for sending leads and notifications via Settings > Senders & Domains.

Detailed instructions

With the Senders & Domains function, you can set up your own email domains and configure email sender addresses for your system. These are used for sending lead notifications, auto-responders and other system messages.

Add a domain

  1. Navigate to Settings → Senders & Domains
  2. Click Add sender domain
  3. Enter your domain name (e.g. meinefirma.de)
  4. Click Add domain
  5. The system shows you the required DNS records
  6. Add these DNS records with your domain provider
  7. Confirm the checkbox "I have added the DNS records"
  8. Click Check DNS settings

Note: DNS changes can take up to 48 hours. You can re-check the status at any time via "Authenticate now".

Add an email sender

  1. Make sure your domain is authenticated (green "Authenticated" badge)
  2. Click Add email sender next to the desired domain
  3. Enter a sender name (e.g. "Max Mustermann")
  4. Enter the email prefix (e.g. "info" for info@meinefirma.de)
  5. Click Add sender
  6. A verification email is sent to the specified address
  7. Open the email and click the verification link

Further frequently asked questions

Which DNS records do I need to configure?

The system automatically shows you the required DNS records. As a rule, these are:

  • Brevo code - to verify the domain
  • DKIM records - for email authentication
  • DMARC record - for additional security (optional)

Copy the values exactly as displayed into the DNS management of your domain provider.

Why is my domain not being verified?

Possible causes:

  • DNS changes have not yet propagated (wait up to 48 hours)
  • DNS records were not copied correctly
  • Wrong DNS record types were used

Click Authenticate now to re-check the status. The system shows the missing records.

Can I have several email senders per domain?

Yes, you can create any number of email senders per domain. However, each sender must be verified individually.

What happens if I delete a domain?

When a domain is deleted, all associated email senders are deleted as well. You will be asked to confirm before deletion.

How can I resend the verification email?

In the sender list, click resend next to the unverified sender. A new verification email is sent to the address.
